Suraj Ratan Damani, S/o. of Shri Fatehchand Damani; born at Bikaner, Rajasthan on July 14, 1912, Educated at Harishchandra High School, Banaras; married with Smt. Ratanbai Damani, 1931. He was a member of the 2nd Lok Sabha of India from the Jalore constituency of Rajasthan and a member of the Indian National Congress (INC) political party. He later become member of 4th, 5th and 6th Lok Sabha from the Solapur constituency of Maharashtra. He was Chairman of Simplex Mills Company Bombay, Jamsri Ranjit Singhji Spinning and Weaving Mills Limited, Solapur and Nav Bharat Refrigeration and Industries Limited, New Delhi. He was married to Mrs Ratanbai and had 1 son and 3 daughters and resides at Damani House, Cuffe Parade Mumbai.
He founded a charitable Trust for the educational institutions, free maternity and child-welfare centres, for awarding scholarships for higher studies and other philanthropic purposes. He worked as member of Executive Committee of Congress Party in Parliament and its Treasurer during 1969-1971.

Lt. Col. H.H. Maharaja Lokendra Sir Govind Singh Ji Dev Bahadur, 10th Maharaja of Datia 1907-1951, born in 1886, G.C.I.E. (cr.1932), K.C.S.I. (cr.1918), Vice President of the St. John Ambulance Association and Patron of the Red Cross Society, Married 1stly in 1902, with a daughter of the Dhandera Jagirdar of Manpura in Gwalior, she died before 1935, married 2ndly, with the daughter of Thakore Sahib of Sayla, and had issue. He died in 1951.

Ali Jah, Umdat ul-Umara, Hisam us-Sultanat, Mukhtar ul-Mulk, Azim ul-Iqtidar, Rafi-us-Shan Wala Shikoh, Muhtasham-i-Dauran, Maharajadhiraj Maharaja Shrimant Sir George Jivaji Rao Scindia Bahadur, Shrinath, Mansur-i-Zaman, Fidvi-i-Hazrat-i-Malika-i-Mua'zzama-i-Rafi-ud-Darja-i-Inglistan, Maharaja Scindia of Gwalior, GCSI (1.1.1946), GCIE (1.1.1941), Assoc. KStJ (19.11.1937). Born at Gwalior on 26th June 1916 (for whom the King-Emperor George V stood sponsor), only son of Lt General H.H. Maharajadhiraj Maharaja Shrimant Sir Madho Rao Scindia Bahadur, by his second wife, H.H. Maharani Gajrabai Raje Sahib Scindia. Educated at Victoria College, Gwalior, Punjab and Bombay. Enrolled as a private soldier in the 1st 'Maharani Sakhya Raja's Own' Gwalior Infantry 1920. Succeeded on the death of his father, on 5th June 1925. Reigned under a Council of Regency until he came of age, 26th June 1936. Invested with full ruling powers, 22nd November 1936. Signed the instrument of accession to the Dominion of India, 15th August 1947. Entered into a covenant with his fellow rulers by which he merged his state into the Madhya Bharat Union 15th May 1948. Installed as Rajpramukh 28th May 1948, and served in that capacity until the abolition of that office on 31st October 1956. Hon. Capt. IA 6/9/1941, prom. Hon. Maj. 12/1/1943, attached 21st King George V's Own Central India Horse, promoted Hon. Lieut-Col 11/7/1944, Hon. Maj-Gen 1/12/1945, and Hon. Lieut-Gen. 15/10/1946, Hon. Col. The Central India Horse (21st King George V's Own), IA 3/7/1946, Hon. Extra ADC to the King-Emperor George VI. Vice-President East India Association 1937-1961. Chancellor Benares Hindu University and Vikram University, Ujjain.  Recieved Silver Jubilee medal (1935), Coronation medals (1937 and 1953), 39/45 star, British War and India Service, medals (1945), and Indian Independence medal (1947). Married at Gwalior, on 21st February 1941, with H.H. Maharani Vijaya Raje Sahib Scindia 12th October 1919; she died at New Delhi on 25th January 2001), daughter of Thakur Mahendra Singhji Sahib, of Sagar, by his first wife, Thakurani Chuda Devashwari Devi, daughter of Commanding-General H.H. Raja Khadga Shamsher Jang Bahadur, sometime C-in-C of Nepal. He died at Bombay on 16th July 1961, having had issue, one son and four daughters.
